1. Definition of recount text

   Recount Text is a text that retells events or events in the past. The story can be in the form of action or activity before someone writes the text.

 

2. Purpose of Recount Text

recount text purpose is to provide information about an event to the reader, or entertain the reader.

3. Structure Recount Text

1. the contents of the orientation is information about the character or characters, location, time of events, etc.

2. Series of Events

event is an event, while series means a series. In this section, the author will write a series of events/the events they experienced (the essence of the recount text).

3. Reorientation

In making recount text, the end of a story is called reorientation. In this section, the author will provide a summary and conclusion of the whole story as well as tell the ending (sad/happy).

5. Type of a Recount Text

1. Personal Recount

Personal recount text is a type of text that aims to tell about the author's personal experience. 

2. Factual Recount Text 

Factual recount text is a story to present reports related to events that occurred based on facts (actually happened).

3. Imaginative Recount

Imaginative recount is a text that is usually used by someone as a story from an imaginative event that is experienced by someone.

4. Historical Recount

Historical recount is a form of recount text whose contents tell historical events

7. Writing recount text

 On Sundays my sister and I go to church, we both leave in the morning because we both have ministry assignments at our church. After time after time the worship service was over, my brother and I returned home. On the way home our stomachs were hungry and we looked for food on the side of the road. After we got a place to eat, that's where we ate voraciously while we ate, we talked, after we relaxed in the place, we just remembered that we got orders from my mom to buy things. Then we rushed to go home and all stopped by to buy these items.

Arriving at home my sister and I were surprised because there were guests at home. the guest was a man named kak endy, he turned out to be papa's colleague besides that kak endy was also a dance coach and model trainer. Mama introduced us to Kak Endy, after that we talked to Kak Endy for a long time. It turned out that Kak Endy made an offer to take part in the event which was held by Endy's manager. My brother and I were surprised because both of us had never participated in an event like that let alone seen by many people and broadcast on television. Finally, after thinking about it, my brother and I agreed with the offer given.

A few weeks later we started practicing day by day. We practice every day after school, we practice in the old town of Semarang. In the first week we practiced basic movements, and in the second week we still practiced like the first week. And the day that I had been waiting for arrived, I prepared what I would bring to the stage later, I prepared these items in [the morning], when they were ready, we headed to the BBPVN building in Semarang. Once there we were prepared by the room assistant to make up and change clothes. Then we were done and ready to go on stage. And finally we went to the stage, we felt anxious and I was really excited because it was the first time I did something like this. The event was over we immediately headed to the room we occupied. We tell stories of what we feel, and we feel satisfied and proud to have done it.
