 1. definition

Argumentative text is a text whose contents are in the form of opinions that are strengthened by evidence, reasons, and examples, so that the reader can trust the author's argument.

2. Purposes

the purpose of argumentative text is to convey opinions convincingly.

3. Text structure

Opener

The first is the opening or part of delivering the thesis. In that section you can convey your basic arguments.

Argument Body

The second part is the body of the argument. As I mentioned earlier, argumentative text requires a support system

Conclusion

As you already know, usually the conclusion contains a summary of all the things you have said in a text, and it is located in the closing section.

4. expressions

The first is emotive words, or words that evoke feelings or emotions. I usually use adjectives. For example, in the Soto Koya story earlier, there are adjectives such as delicious, strong and rich in taste.

Then there is an affirming conjunction, so that between sentences and paragraphs it flows and doesn't bump into each other. Usually in English, the words used are however, henceforth, thus, besides that, then, so, as a result, and so on.

The last language feature is the tense form. The type of tense used is the present tense.
